It has a good picture but you have to leave your memory card in it to view pictures. Not good to give as a gift because you can’t just download pictures on it.

Customer Review: Overall Awesome Frame - Size a Little Too Small

The frame has a great look. I was able to connect it to my wireless home network in no time. It was able to see the computers in my home network easily except for some reason it was not able to see my work laptop running XP, but was able to see my desktop with XP and my personal laptop with Vista, just fine.

Being connected to internet 24×7 is awesome. Sending pictures from MomentoLive is cool. You can bulk upload your pictures at MomentoLive site and the frame is notified of the new pictures and then it downloads them locally (caches the pictures in the frame memory) and plays them. You can also specify a personal message along with the pictures uploaded. The message gets displayed when the frame displays the notification that it has received new pictures. However if the pictures are big (which they usually are now-a-days) uploading too many pictures does not quite work very well at MomentoLive site.

The MomonetoLive site also features downloading pictures from other sites like flickr etc and feeding them to the frame. There are several options there.

Overall it is an awesome product for the price. The only thing about my frame that I did not like is that it was 7″. I would recommend getting 10″ instead of this one if you can, which I think is pretty decent size.

The colors and resolution in this frame is fairly decent.

One thing that was not quite intuitive for me was that in order to delete a picture from frame memory you have to click on info ‘i’ button on the remote and then choose the option to delete. The quick start guide did not mention this. The manual was not present in the box. I sent a support request which I got replied for after 3 or 4 days so customer service is really bad. By then I already located the manual online and found the answer to my question.

Frame was well constructed and mostly worked as expected.
CON:Was not able to insert photos into internal memory in the
desired sequence order. No matter what I tried, the frame
chose its own sequence of display. HP support could not help.

I purchased the frame as a gift for my husband for father’s day. The frame was easy to use, and the picture quality was very good. Please note, you can use the frame to transfer pictures between memory devices, but it only has one slot for each type of device. If your camera uses a scan disk memory card and you buy a scan disk card as the memory for your frame, you will have to move the pictures to another device to copy them onto the frame.

Customer Review: Worth it
This is my second Philips digital frame purchase. The first was a smaller frame w/ changeable plastic frame borders. I find the control buttons on this metal frame a little more user friendly. The software for each frame are not compatible; the current program was an updated version. So, I had to delete the software for the smaller frame & upload the new one. The new one has some nice added features for editing the photos. This was a gift for my parents across the country after I had uploaded all the photos. I don’t consider them as the most digital-tech savvy. I thought I would have to walk them through step-by-step to get it started over the phone. But, I was pleasantly surprised to hear that it was set up & showing the slideshow when I talked to them.

Customer Review: Better than I expected!
I got this frame for $149 from Amazon for my Mom. I was was very reluctant since the resolution said it was only 640×480 but, when you load pics on it, they look really good. Only pics from a cell phone are kind of grainy but that’s due to the camera in the cell phone. The fact that you can “beam” your pic over to see it on a big screen is great!

I love the fact that this frame is so versatile. SD/MMC/CF no problem. I even attached my 250GB mini hard-drive up and was able to play videos from it as well as play mp3’s. Sound is not very good but it works…

The remote is a nice touch and it makes it easy for Mom to find her pics.

Now that I see the price went up $50, I’m really sorry I didn’t get myself one…

Customer Review: Frustrated
The touch screen was difficult to use. It kept freezing up on me and I’d have to turn it off and on again. Other times, I’d press the border in order to select a certain touch screen option and the option next to it would be selected instead. And it’s not like I have long fingernails or Parkinson’s. I am a healthy young man who knows how to use a touch screen. Very frustrating. The frame is nice, well constructed and the pictures were digital great quality. Overall, this does not make up for a frame that is frustrating to use.

Great Grand Parents can switch it on and it works! No remote to lose.
Resolution of 800×480 - You can program on/off time - Plays video files along with the regular pictures, not just video or still pics only.
My favorite feature is RANDOM selection (shuffle mode) off the picture card. Kodak told me that it will accept and use 2 different cards. Right now I’ve got 2,400 pictures on a 1GB card and it works great! So after visiting Amazon many times and reading review after review and purchasing 2 other frames, only to return them - THIS IS THE ONE!

I ordered two of these digi-frames because I loved the specs and the look of the product. Boy, was I fooled. I’d planned to give these as gifts, but the device did NOT work as promised. It was good that I’d ordered two, so that I could determine if I’d just gotten a lemon out of one of them. Nope! Neither unit worked properly. I returned them to Amazon. Kudos to Amazon for an excellent return policy and procedure! I’ve since replaced these units with the Kodak M1020. Loved ‘em! They worked as promised; actually, they exceeded my expectations. I’d give the Kodak digi-frames at least 4, and maybe 5, stars. Skip the Coby units.

Customer Review: Better quality viewing!
I first purchased a Smartpants 7 inch frame as a Father’s Day present for my husband and after spending hours putting together a chronological slide show of family photos, I played it on the frame and discovered that the photos wouldn’t play in the order that I had numbered/labeled them and that the quality of the picture viewing was very poor and that there were no options for changing speed, etc. It also tended to show some pitcures as very small because of the aspect ratio of the frame.

So, I did some on-line research (better late than never) and found good reviews for the Pandigital 8 inch and purchased it as a replacement. The quality of the viewing of the photos is so much better! The higher resolution really makes a difference so be sure to buy a frame with at least 600X800 resolution. In terms of the slideshow option, I discovered you have to copy your photos onto the SD (or other) disc one at a time in the order you want them to play. Arranging them with numerical or alphabetical titles and then copying them as a group won’t work on most of the digital photo frames.

The controls on this one are a little confusing. You have to press setup and then exit several times to reach the various levels of controls (?!), but once you figure it out, they work.

The best things about this are the aspect ratio which shows all of your photos at a reasonable size and the high resolution which comes closer to what you see on your computer screen than the low resolution photo frames.

Worth the extra cost!
