Great picture from all sides, but could be better when looking from beneeth (sitting in sofa, the frame is in the bookshelf at 6 feet from the floor). Have not tried the wireless uploading. The frame looks good and fits great inbetween books. Easy to use and comes with a very easy remote controll.

Customer Review: Nice frame and great customer service
I purchased this digital frame for my husband for his birthday. When I received it, I was very impressed with the look of the frame as well as how easy it was to load the pictures/mp3s. I bought a 2GB card for approx. $15, which was no big deal and now have the ability to hold well over 500 pictures. After opening this gift, my husband and I sat together on our couch and watched the frame cycle through the pictures which were synched to our favorite songs… It was a great birthday present and brought tears to both of our eyes.
Unfortunately, about two weeks later, I was beginning to have issues with the frame… The screen would flicker and look like it had “bad reception”. I called Aluratek’s Customer Support, spoke with a live human being, and was advised to mail my frame back. The frame I received as a replacement had a few issues so I called their Customer Support again. This time, they emailed me a UPS return label and picked up the cost entirely. I received a brand new frame about two days later and it has been working great ever since.
The picture quality is incredible. The speakers sound much better than I expected. This truly is a great digital photo frame. I spent about a month researching all of the frames on the market and this one received good reviews on cnet.com and this site. I did notice some bad reviews; however, in my opinion, sometimes in this day and age, people go out of their way to tell you about their bad experiences when 99% of other customers have great experiences and don’t take the time to write about it.
Overall, I am very impressed and would definitely buy another Aluratek product in the future.
Customer Review: Absolutely Love It!
I purchased Aluratek’s 7″ frame awhile back model ADMPF007F. I was so impressed with its quality and ease of use that I decided to buy a larger frame this 12″ for my parents. It doesn’t come with memory but SD cards are so cheap these days (1GB for $5) who cares if there’s 128mb or 256mb onboard. I’d rather keep different SD Cards for different occassions for my parents. The screen size is very large, pictures comes out very sharp, and you can control the brightness and color contrast with the remote. I did not have to use the manual. Once again Aluratek came thru with a very nice frame.

At $100 (Aug 2008 on RitzCamera.com), this is an outstanding deal in the 11″ digital photo frame segment. The colors of the pics seen in the frame are amazingly bright, and even low resolution pics look great on this screen.
The musical playback is great feature, though I haven’t found a way of turning it off. It can give a surreal or nostalgic effect depending on your pics.
The interface is simple, with minimal buttons.
Its capable of reading almost any kind of media including USB stick, compact flash cards, MMC and SD cards. With an internal memory of 128 MB and almost unlimited external media memory, one can literally enjoy their entire life’s albums on this beautiful digital photo frame.
I have never used the remote, but its a cool feature to have on this gadget.
Although, the front panel of the frame looks elegant, the finishing of the back-panel is a bit shoddy. The actual electronic display is held inside a plastic frame with the help of 4 screws, but the two surfaces don’t flush onto each other very well, giving it an uneven level difference. The screws also go into the panel at random angle because of the level difference.
Leave the screen on for more than 2 hrs and it will melt down all the stuff within 3 ft from it! The big screen dissipates a lot of heat. I haven’t seen if other frames give out as much heat as well, but this seems to get a bit too hot!
A couple of features that I thot were missing was the ability to randomize the pics on the media and to turn off the music if wanted. But for all the other good features that it has, losing out on these two is not a big deal for me.
A happy customer and recommended till another superior piece comes in the market at a lower price!

I got this through an Amazon affiliate… TigerDirect…for a VERY good price. I used an old page offering that has since been revampted..ie in price.
This might well be the best priced Dig Pic Frame for the bucks…that has good quality. Warranty is short so try it ASAP.
I did some research and the reviews were generally quite good. I am pleased. Good resolution.
The key is to have quality images. Images that have been altered using s/w might not look that good. Fist generation pics with the least amount of manipulation work best.
I use a Crucial 1GB Gizmo Jr…as a thumbdrive…small..hidden by the frame.
The frame is beautiful..cherry finish and looks very expensive. The size is perfect when used at a distance. The simple remote has good features.
I still have to play with it to maximize ie features and benefits.

Customer Review: battery is about to explode
Gave this as a gift to parents 12/2006. Has been working fine, but as my brother was going to upload more photos onto the card he found the back of the unit bulging out about half an inch. Turns out it is the battery growing larger and certainly will explode in time.
Wondering if anyone else has had this problem - I couldn’t find any recall notices on the web.

I got this frame for my parents in Dec 2007. They rarely even had it on…used the clock most of the time……..which didn’t even keep the time correctly…..Now 8 months later the screen has quit working…..BEWARE! I would stick with another brand.
Customer Review: Decent value, but not a good overall product
Pros:
- Low price (as far as picture frames go)
- Accepts many kinds of memory cards, including USB flash drives
- Remote included
Cons:
- Resolution is bad.
- Cannot randomize pictures (they show up in the same order all the time)
- Clock feature was defective on my unit
Overall, I would NOT recommend this product. I bought it as a present for my mother and I was disappointed with the quality of the picture as well as a few other bugs.
As I mentioned, the picture is bad. If you’re looking directly at the frame from a good distance away (6-7 feet), it looks alright, but it’s all downhill from there. If you get too close the images are grainy and there’s very little visibility from the side (which has more to do with LCD than it does this frame in particular).
When we don’t have pictures playing on the frame, we set it to the ‘clock’ mode, which displays a full-screen clock. Seems like a pretty good idea, but the time on this particular unit continuously changes itself. No matter how many times I go into the settings and change the time to the correct time, it constantly changes itself every few hours.
Finally, I was disappointed when I discovered that this frame does not have the capability to ’shuffle’ pictures. This may have been an oversight on my part, because I simply assumed that all frames did this, but I found out the hard way that I was wrong. It may not seem like a big deal, but it gets a little annoying. If you load 20 pictures from the beach, then 20 pictures from a wedding, then 20 pictures from a birthday party, you’re going to see ALL 20 beach pictures, then ALL 20 wedding pictures, etc. etc. It’s easy to lose interest when all the pictures are from the same thing.
Like I said.. the price is good, but that’s about all this thing has going for it. Don’t make the same mistake I did; spend a few extra bucks and get a decent frame.

Customer Review: Poor Quality
This product runs an extremely poor quality firmware. The interface boots into a menu where you have to make a choice. In my opinion - if it’s a photo frame it should be configurable so that when it boots it goes into a slide show. Very limited options as to what you can do with the photos. No randomized playback. and the worst thing - it only holds 15 photos in it’s internal 8mb. The limit is hard-coded. Even if you make photos smaller, you can’t fit more than 15, which is nonsense, considering that the resolution is 436×245. Btw, the resolution that they give in the user’s manual does not match, and I had to experimentally figure out the right dimensions. This product is so poorly designed, I wish I could return it.
Customer Review: Works fine for what it’s intended to do
Not sure about the previous review. The author quoted a section from the manual incorrectly. It is from the trouble-shooting section, and it says “If no image is shown (issue)… (reason) Files may not be in jpeg format. This unit only supports jpeg files.” In other words, if there is no image, it may be because the files are not jpegs.
Anyway, this unit works fine. I set it up and it has been running perfectly. The instructions aren’t the best, but if you have common sense you can figure out most of the settings yourself. This product does not deserve such a low rating.
